Questions

What will happen in TALAB 2025?
TALAB activities will be held from October 13 to 31, 2025. On TALAB Day, October 14, 2025 (Tuesday) all regular undergraduate classes will be replaced by TALAB activities.
How can I satisfy the participation requirement?
You may choose ONE of the following options:
- Join AND attend ONE (1) trip
- Join AND attend TWO (2) on-campus activities (each lasting 2 hours)
- Join AND attend ONE (1) on-campus activity (lasting 4 hours)
- Participate in organizing TALAB 2025
Can I combine activities to reach 4 hours?
If you enlist for a 2-hour activity, you can no longer take a 4-hour option. Only other 2-hour options will remain available.
Do I need clearance for off-campus activities?
Yes. You must secure an OHS clearance, submit a declaration and undertaking signed by parents/guardian, make an online payment, if applicable (instructions will be sent by email).
Will I be excused from my class when I attend a TALAB activity?
On October 14, 2025, ALL undergraduate classes will be replaced by TALAB activities.
However, on other dates, regular classes proceed as scheduled.
Thus, if a TALAB activity after October 14 conflicts with your class, it will not be excused and will count as a cut.
Do all subjects give incentives for completing TALAB?
No. Incentives depend on the discretion of your instructors. Not all subjects offer them.
Is TALAB required?
Yes. All undergraduate students must complete 4 hours of TALAB activities. Failure to do so may result in a cut in certain classes or ineligibility for incentives from instructors.
Are seniors and superseniors required to attend TALAB activities?
If they do not have prior academic commitments (e.g., practicum), they are expected to attend.
Are walk-ins allowed?
Walk-ins (where allowed) will also count toward completion. However, it is not guaranteed that all events will allow walk-ins.
