This is a roundtable discussion on the history of disasters in the Philippines. Using interdisciplinary approaches to history, this discussion will explore the dynamics of human-environment interactions by drawing examples of how Filipinos responded to disasters in the past. Experts will discuss various aspects of disasters and uncover the intricacies of political, socioeconomic, and even cultural entanglements that shape how we react to natural hazards. Organized by History Department x League of Atenean Historians (LAHi).
